YTL Power International Berhad, an investment holding company, provides electricity, clean water, sewerage systems, and communication services primarily in Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Australia, and Indonesia. It owns and operates two gas-fired combined cycle power plants with total generating capacity of 1,212 megawatts (MW) in Malaysia; steam turbines, and combined cycle and open cycle gas turbine plants with an installed capacity of 3,100 MW in Singapore; 1,220 MW coal-fired thermal power station in Indonesia; and high voltage electricity transmission network with approximately 5,700 circuit kilometers of transmission lines and 88 high voltage substations in Australia, as well as supplies water and treats sewage in the United Kingdom. The company also owns and operates 4G wireless broadband network under the YES brand; provides wired line and wireless broadband access, and other related services; and provides oil trading and oil tank leasing, financial, concert promotion, engineering, laundry, billing, computer systems integration, housing development, construction management, energy switching, and consultancy services. In addition, it issues bonds; retails and markets telecommunication devices; develops Web environment products; operates as a license reseller for virtual learning educational platforms; provides advisory and management services to educational institutions; and designs and constructs coal-fired power generating facilities. Further, the company engages in the trading of physical fuels and fuel related derivative instruments; sale of by-products from the electricity generation process; and planning, implementation, and maintenance of telecommunication towers and related services. The company is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. YTL Power International Berhad is a subsidiary of YTL Corporation Berhad.
